Good Friday Service
In what was a first in nearly 60 years, on the 6th of April Coast Road Church held a multi-denominational celebration of Good Friday. The 58 attendees listened to Shirley Jarden take the service which included the singing of old hymns accompanied by the Church organ, plus readings and a thought-provoking address on what Good Friday means to us today.

The Handing Over Ceremony
The Society has now formally received the key(s) to the Church and graveyard at a well attended ceremony, held at the Church on a sunny 11th July, this year (2010).

Historic Handing Over Ceremony
The Wainuiomata Pioneer Church Preservation Society members are attending the Sunday service on the 11th July at the St. Stephens Union Church in Wainuiomata, then moving to the Coast Road Church for the official handing over ceremony to acknowledge the role of the Methodist Church and more recently, the Hutt City Uniting Congregation Church in caring for the building and associated grounds over the years.
